Description
Hemp is a natural fibre which has been used for rope and textile manufacture for thousands of years. The long bast fibres derived from the plant stems make a strong yarn, but like linen the cloth you weave will become softer and more absorbent with washing and wear. Hemp is naturally mildew resistant, so it would be a good choice for bath mats or towels.
The manufacturer quotes a derived count of 2 Nm (metric count) or 500 Tex. Since the yarn has two ends its count is 4/2 Nm.
