- Silk 20/2Nm 100g ConeA rainbow of colours in 20/2Nm spun silk. Hand dyed for us in India in both solid and tie dyed colours. This metric count is slightly thicker than the more widely available 30/2 and 60/2, we think it is a great weight for weaving – it is also suitable for knitting, crochet, lace making, quilting and embroidery. It is hand dyed in small batches, this means that although technically repeatable, no two batches are ever exactly the same. This adds to the beauty of the yarn but it is important to make sure you order sufficient for your product as we cannot guarantee to still have matching stock if you run out some time later. As with many yarns, colour fastness is not guaranteed and the production methods used with this yarn does mean that there may be some colour run from some colours when wet finished. We always suggest wet finishing a sample before embarking on your project to see how the yarn will behave. We are happy to supply this particular yarn on a skein if you would prefer to wash the yarn before working with it. Please advise if you would like this service either by contacting…

Texsolv standard cord now available in 4 colours as well as white!

We stock standard Texsolv Cord used by many types of loom for tying up shafts to treadles or levers available by the metre.

This versatile polyester loop cord is a continuous button hole system which allows easy links and loom tie ups when used in conjunction with anchor and straight pegs. A very strong cord withstanding up to 80kg / 180 pounds which is more than adequate for most loom tie ups, but for attaching warp sticks to beams or aprons or heavy counterbalance rollers we also stock the heavier Texsolv beam cord, sold by the metre.

Also available from stock are Texsolv straight (arrow) and anchor (split) pegs, both extremely useful for joining cords for tie up, easy adjustment of shaft height and treadles to lamms. These are sold in multiples of 25 in a small cotton drawstring bag.
