Description
Toika shuttles are made from carefully selected birch and finished with a clear varnish. With an open bottom and rollers the shuttle is light to use and travels quickly across the warp. This version measures 38cm in length and is 2.5cm deep (15″ x 1″) deep. The spindle measures 18cm and will accomodate cardboard pirns, homemade paper spools or most makes of manufactured plastic bobbins. It weighs 169g and is shaped to fit nicely in the hand to throw and catch.
