- Silk 20/2Nm 100g ConeA rainbow of colours in 20/2Nm spun silk. Hand dyed for us in India in both solid and tie dyed colours. This metric count is slightly thicker than the more widely available 30/2 and 60/2, we think it is a great weight for weaving – it is also suitable for knitting, crochet, lace making, quilting and embroidery. It is hand dyed in small batches, this means that although technically repeatable, no two batches are ever exactly the same. This adds to the beauty of the yarn but it is important to make sure you order sufficient for your product as we cannot guarantee to still have matching stock if you run out some time later. As with many yarns, colour fastness is not guaranteed and the production methods used with this yarn does mean that there may be some colour run from some colours when wet finished. We always suggest wet finishing a sample before embarking on your project to see how the yarn will behave. We are happy to supply this particular yarn on a skein if you would prefer to wash the yarn before working with it. Please advise if you would like this service either by contacting…

This soft and silky yarn is made with 50% Merino and 50% Tencel™ in a 10/2 worsted count and it is luscious!

The Merino wool lends the yarn softness and the Tencel™ gives it a subtle sheen. Items made with it have lovely drape, ideal for shawls and scarves. It is better known by knitters as Colrain Lace. We stock the full colour range.

It can be successfully used on the Rigid Heddle Loom in a 12/12.5 dent heddle and weaves up quickly without the need to use doubled threads or 2 heddles. Also suitable for knitting and crochet projects. There are lots of lovely projects on Ravelry. Knits as 2 ply Laceweight.

Put up is 100g on cone.
